Healthy carbs can be a lot more inclusive than you think. At the end of the day, it really comes down to how you prepare them. There are thousands of ways to prepare your meals in delicious, healthy, and low calorie ways. A little research goes a long way.

  • Potatoes (surprisingly healthy and low calorie)
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Brown Rice
  • White Rice (just less fiber than brown rice)
  • Cous Cous
  • Quinoa
  • Squash
  • Low Calorie Wraps
  • Whole Wheat Wraps (Different brands have vastly different calorie amounts, check the nutrition label)
  • Corn
  • Bread (Different brands have vastly different calorie amounts, check the nutrition label)
  • Beans
  • Lentils
  • Pasta (hesitant to put this since it can quickly be a lot of calories)
