Hey there! You are probably wondering who I am. It’s a good question. Sometimes I wonder the same thing.
I am Jesse Neighbour and I am an ACE certified personal trainer. Personally, I have been lifting and training for over a decade at this point. I was a student athlete throughout my academic career, playing Rugby at the Division 1 level at Virginia Tech. Through my career at Tech, I worked with excellent trainers who helped us reach the Collegiate Rugby Championship tournament in Philadelphia all four years. With these resources, I learned extensively about about proper training and nutrition.
I have also done extensive research on my own, experimenting with different training styles to get the most out of my body. While doing this, I have been a resource that many people would come to for training and nutrition advice. After a few years of helping friends and family, I decided to take this up professionally as a part time gig and spread some of what I have learned to you!
I believe that fitness is a lifetime journey and that it is obtainable for everyone. The fitness industry as a whole has tried to overcomplicate personal health in order to sell different products to people, muddying the waters with what is possible and how it is done.
Health does not have to be difficult. There are many ways that you can stay fit and enjoy the process without hating your diet and dreading the gym.
